A few products are licensed: the pro-extension JARs and pro skills that unlock write-tier and advanced model tools for AI agents in CATIA Magic and Sparx Enterprise Architect. These are the tools that let an agent change your live model, not just read it, so they ship under a paid licence.

The free tools are read-only or generic: they navigate, inspect, audit, and report. The licensed tools are the ones that change real models — write-tier authoring and framework-specific validation (SysML, ArchiMate, NAF, UAF). That capability takes the most work to build correctly and carries the most risk if it gets it wrong, so it ships under a paid licence with support attached.
A licence keeps the project funded and the tools maintained against new releases of CATIA Magic, MSOSA, and Sparx EA. It also means you get a person to email when something breaks.
